From May 12-14, Justin Short, ReMA's AVP of State Affairs, Chris Flock, ReMA's Director of Membership, and several ReMA members represented ReMA's Tire and Rubber Division at the U.S. Tire Manufactures Association's 10th Tire Recycling Conference held in Denver, CO.
The conference drew stakeholders from across the end of life tire value chain, including tire recyclers, haulers, equipment and service providers, manufacturers, retailers, and state regulators, to discuss new technologies and markets for recycled rubber, legislative and regulatory trends and challenges, and opportunities for stakeholders to work together to advance tire recycling in the U.S. and internationally.
There were several benefits for ReMA attending the conference, including education on new developments in tire processing, trends in markets and policy for end-of-life tires, and building connections and highlighting the work that ReMA's Tire & Rubber Division and ReMA do on behalf of the industry.
Flock added that ReMA's presence at the conference was an opportunity to highlight the association's value proposition and bring awareness to ReMA's advocacy efforts.
"Exhibiting at the conference for the first time further enabled ReMA staff to engage with tire and rubber recyclers throughout the global supply chain and develop new stakeholder relationships," he said.
