2-Year T-Note futures fell on strong nonfarm payrolls data.

2-Year T-Note futures experienced a volatile session, trading lower to 102'18 after the nonfarm payrolls report showed stronger-than-expected labor market data. The resilient employment report shifted market expectations ahead of the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting, driving the 2-Year Treasury yield up four basis points to 4.38% and reaching an intraday high of 4.40%. These levels mark the highest yields for the 2-Year Treasury Note since January 2025. The yield curve showed signs of flattening as longer-dated Treasury maturities pared early losses to sit near unchanged on the day, while short-end yields continued to push higher.
