The Arizona City Attorneys Association has awarded Chandler City Attorney Kelly Schwab with the Career Achievement Award in recognition of her distinguished service representing Arizona cities and towns.
"Kelly Schwab's leadership, integrity and deep knowledge of municipal law have helped guide Chandler on complex legal issues," said Mayor Kevin Hartke. "This recognition reflects the extraordinary impact she has had in Chandler and across Arizona's municipal legal community."
The Career Achievement Award reflects her distinguished career and a sustained commitment to strengthening municipal law and public service across Arizona communities.
Schwab has lead Chandler's law department as city attorney and risk manager since 2016. Prior to that, she was the City of Mesa's assistant city attorney and had a 25-year career in private practice serving as General Legal Counsel for several Arizona cities and towns.
Throughout her career she has advised elected bodies, supported complex development and infrastructure matters, managed litigation and risk and helped mentor the next generation of municipal attorneys.
The Arizona City Attorneys Association, which is affiliated with the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, is comprised of attorneys, assistant attorneys and deputy attorneys for cities and towns across Arizona.
