Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) filed TA585-18, requesting Commission approval of its Community-Based Renewable Energy (CBRE) Program. MEA's proposed tariff revisions include the terms, conditions, and fees for the interconnection of community energy facilities to MEA's system, requirements and costs attributable to community energy facilities after interconnection, the criteria for consumers to participate in the CBRE Program, and MEA's reporting requirements. MEA proposes an application fee of $1,260 for facilities with a capacity of less than 100 kW and a fee of $3,100 for facilities with a capacity of 100 kW and larger. Additionally, MEA proposes an initial administration fee of $3.50 per month for each subscriber. MEA requests that the filing become effective 180 days after Commission approval.
