New Report on Sustaining Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia Programming Beyond ACL Grants

ACL's dementia grant program continues to positively impact individuals and communities long after grant funding ends. A new report from the National Alzheimer's and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC) highlights findings from a survey conducted with grant recipients that had been without ACL grant funding for at least one year.

Almost all recipients surveyed sustained some or all of their grant-funded activities after their grant funding ended, and a majority of those activities were still being offered at the time of the survey. Many sustained activities had been expanded to serve more people or adapted to meet different needs. The report includes information on the methods and types of activities that are sustained, modifications made, and why recipients stopped sustaining certain activities. It also includes case studies from recipients that have successfully sustained a variety of activities.
