The America250PA Mobile Experiential Unit will visit Penn State Harrisburg on Sept. 17, Constitution Day.
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg School of Public Affairs will host the America250PA Countdown to 250 Mobile Experiential Unit on campus Sept. 17, in recognition of Constitution Day.
The mobile unit, which is designed to bring the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the country's founding directly to Pennsylvanians, will be on campus from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The mobile unit will be parked along College Avenue, next to the Student Enrichment Center. The visit is open to the public.
The mobile unit has three interactive exhibits built in:
Pennsylvania Pursuit - A fast-paced trivia game that challenges visitors with questions about Pennsylvania's rich history and key civics questions from the U.S. citizenship test.
Keystone Quest - A retro-style video game adventure across Pennsylvania.
The Commonwealth Chronicles - A digital storytelling booth where visitors can record and share personal stories about their lives, histories, and hopes for the future.
The Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial, known as America250PA, was established by the legislature and governor in 2018 to coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and Pennsylvania's role.
