The City of Greensboro's Community Safety Department (CSD) requests donations of household items and furniture for the new Housing First Plus initiative. Housing First Plus is designed to move Greensboro's most vulnerable individuals from the street into stable housing, while providing them intensive case management.
The pilot program, which combines intensive case management for clients with incentives and support for participating landlords, will work with 20 individuals. Some clients will be moving into unfurnishedhomes as soon as Monday, June 1. The CSD needs the following items:

The CSD takes a holistic, collaborative approach to improving Greensboro's public safety through community-centered prevention initiatives, crisis intervention services to help de-escalate violence, and long-term, intensive case management for individuals whose issues-such as mental health, substance use, and homelessness-have put them in frequent contact with law enforcement.
