BNC Service Restoration

Tuesday, October 27, 2026

The court was informed yesterday afternoon that the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) resumed normal operations. As the BNC works through its backlog of notices, it is possible parties may receive a duplicate notice of a document already served by the court due to that fact that if the court was unable to determine if the BNC had served a document, the court served it.

Today, the court issued two Administrative Orders. Administrative Order 2026-8 revoking Administrative Order 2026-7 regarding service of Chapter 13 plans, and Administrative Order 2026-9 revoking Administrative Order 2026-6 regarding the suspension of Local Rule 9013-1(b).

Any party who believes they have been prejudiced by the BNC service disruption should seek relief from the court under Rule 9038 or other authority pursuant to the Bankruptcy Rules Emergency declared by the Judicial Conference of the United States on October 22, 2026.
