UMGC Expands Southwest Impact

Earlier this month, UMGC leaders traveled to Texas to advance a core university priority: expanding access to career-relevant education for military-affiliated students across the country.

The visit culminated in the signing of a new strategic partnership with Alamo Colleges District -an important step in strengthening clear, flexible education pathways for thousands of students across the region.

During the trip, the delegation visited UMGC's San Antonio office and met with local team members who support servicemembers, veterans, and their families across Texas and New Mexico. Leaders also met with Educational Services Officers at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Lackland, JBSA-Randolph, JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, as well as with representatives of The USAA Educational Foundation, to better understand emerging needs and to strengthen collaboration.
