AI Translation Service Pilot Underway
The City of Mountain View is piloting an AI translation service during public meetings in Council Chambers at Mountain View City Hall.
The Wordly system provides real-time translation and captions during meetings. The public can follow along in their preferred language by reading on their own device or listening with a headset.Wordly is now available for the following public meetings:
- City Council
- Environmental Planning Commission
- Rental Housing Committee
In addition to AI translation for over 60 different languages, in-person interpretation services remain available in Spanish and Chinese for City Council meetings upon request. Requests for in-person interpretation must be submitted to the City Clerk's Office no later than 5:00 p.m. two business days before the meeting by phone at 650-903-6304 or by email at [email protected].
