Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda Fan Xuecheng Attends Dialogue Seminar Marking the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China

On July 6, the Chinese Embassy in Uganda held a dialogue seminar to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Chargé d'Affaires ad Interim Fan Xuecheng attended the event and delivered remarks. Mr. Awich Pollar, Director of External Affairs and representative of the Secretary General of Uganda's National Resistance Movement (NRM), along with other guests, attended the seminar.

Mr. Fan stated that, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, relations between the two parties and the two countries have maintained strong momentum, making important contributions to solidarity and cooperation among the Global South. Over the past 105 years since its founding, the CPC has remained committed to the mission of pursuing the well-being of the Chinese people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. It has led the Chinese people to achieve remarkable accomplishments, thanks to a series of distinctive strengths and defining qualities. China stands ready to further deepen inter-party exchanges with Uganda and enhance mutual learning on governance, so as to continuously enrich the China-Uganda Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

On behalf of NRM Secretary General Richard Todwong, Mr. Pollar warmly congratulated the CPC on the remarkable achievements it has made over the past 105 years. He noted that the NRM attaches great importance to learning from the CPC's successful experience and expressed the wish that the two parties and the two countries will continue to strengthen their strategic cooperation.

Young diplomats of the Embassy also held discussions with the Ugandan side on inter-party exchanges and cooperation, as well as governance philosophies and related topics.
