Senate Agriculture Committee Releases Draft Farm Bill Text

After several months of anticipation, Senate Agriculture Committee Chair John Boozman has released a 900-page draft farm bill for discussion.

"TFBF appreciates Chairman Boozman and the Senate Agriculture Committee for releasing their farm bill proposal. This legislation provides long overdue updates to the farm safety net, conservation programs and other programs affecting agriculture and rural America," said Tennessee Farm Bureau President Eric Mayberry. "We hope the Senate will build on the bipartisan momentum in the House and get modern farm policy in place to protect our most important industry. We also urge Congress to continue moving forward to make these updates while also addressing other key priorities like economic assistance, protecting interstate commerce and authorizing the year-round sale of E15 blended fuel."
