The University of Evansville is pleased to announce that it has received a $25,000 grant from the City of Evansville's Forward Together program to support the UE Mental Health Clinic and the Emily M. Young Assessment Center.
The Mental Health and Wellness Clinic and Emily M. Young Assessment Center provides psychotherapy, assessment services, and medical oversight for individuals aged 5 and up, addressing conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. The clinic is dedicated to ensuring accessibility by accepting Indiana Medicaid and offering discounted services on a sliding scale for uninsured patients, making mental health care available to those in need.
In collaboration with Evansville Promise Neighborhood, the clinic continues its efforts to serve low-income and underserved communities, offering essential mental health support to individuals who might otherwise face barriers to care.
This funding will help the University of Evansville expand its services and continue providing crucial mental health resources to the local community.
