City of Annapolis Government Closed on
Monday, September 1 in Observance of Labor Day

Annapolis, MD (August 18, 2025) City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, in observance of Labor Day.

There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, September 1 (Labor Day). Monday's collection will shift to Tuesday and Tuesday's collection will shift to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday collections remain unchanged.

On Labor Day, Annapolis Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule. The Magenta shuttle will operate 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Annapolis Transit offices will be closed, but parking will be enforced.

The Pip Moyer Recreation Center and Stanton Community Center will both be closed in observance of the holiday. The Kenneth R. Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park and the Leron M. Fisher Pool at Harbour House will both be closed.

WEEKEND ADVISORY: The local Elks Club will host the Annual Pre-Labor Day Elks Parade at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31. The parade begins at Amos Garrett Boulevard and heads down West Street then turns left on Calvert Street. There will be a small reviewing booth on Calvert Street. The parade is expected to last until 5 p.m.
