Winter Weather Update: December 26-28, 2025

According to the National Weather Service, a clipper system will bring accumulating snow to southern New England tonight (Friday, December 26, 2025) through Saturday morning.

For our area, snowfall totals may vary due to a narrow snowfall gradient. Some locations across central and western portions of the region could see 3-5 inches of snow, with localized higher amounts possible, while other areas may receive lighter totals. Travel may become slick Friday night into early Saturday, so please use caution if heading out.

Department of Public Works:

The Department of Public Works will be tending to roads and public ways and responding to snowfall as needed to help keep roads safe.

Parking Update:

At this time, there is no anticipated parking ban. If conditions change, updates will be shared promptly.

Looking Ahead:

Another weather system may bring a risk of freezing rain late Sunday night into early Monday, mainly across interior southern New England.

Please stay tuned for updates and take extra care while traveling.
