PSA Ambulatory Surgery Center of Killeen Agreed to Pay $46,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Provided by an Unlicensed Individual

After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, PSA Ambulatory Surgery Center of Killeen, LLC (PSA), Killeen, Texas, entered into a $46,730.30 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that PSA submitted claims to TRICARE for services furnished by an unlicensed nurse. Single damages were calculated as the full salary and benefits paid to the nurse during the period they worked without a valid license.
