Columbia Police respond to fatal vehicle crash on Route B and Waco Road

At about midnight on April 1, Columbia Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route B near the intersection of Waco Road.

The driver, Mohamed Abdalla, 20, of Columbia, was traveling south on Route B when his vehicle crossed the traffic lanes, jumped a median and struck a traffic control pole. Abdalla was taken to a local hospital and died on April 2 of injuries sustained in the crash. Next of kin have been notified.
