Spotlight on CSUG’s New National Business Consultant Cassie Goodwin

CUSG has welcomed a new team member, National Business Consultant Cassie Goodwin. Covering credit unions across the East Coast, Cassie says she brings a unique blend of relationship-building expertise, strategic insight, and a passion for helping organizations thrive:

How I work with credit unions:
I cover credit unions across the East Coast and aim to connect with teams in person. I take a consultative approach - seeking to understand each credit union's strategic initiatives, what's working well, and where challenges exist. I enjoy serving as a sounding board to brainstorm ideas, bringing awareness to the full suite of CUSG products across marketing technology, HR, and financial empowerment, and ultimately helping with whatever priorities may arise - whether that involves a CUSG solution or support in another area.

Professional background:
I earned my M.A. in Teaching from Rowan University and spent several years teaching elementary school before transitioning into the financial sector. Prior to joining CUSG, I worked for a European fintech and neobank called Shine, where I built out the partnerships function, collaborating with legal tech providers, accountants, and referral partners to market an all-in-one platform for small business owners. I thrive on building mutually beneficial relationships and deeply understanding customer pain points in order to connect them with the right product solutions.

Personal:
I'm 30 years old and live in a row home in Philadelphia with my two cats, Garrett and Elphaba. I grew up in Frankfurt, Germany and moved to the U.S. a little over 10 years ago. Outside of work, I love staying active-I play badminton and go to the gym regularly. I also enjoy reading, music, and dancing, attend a few festivals each year, and am hoping to travel to Australia for the first time later this year.

For credit unions interested in connecting, Cassie welcomes introductory conversations and encourages credit unions to schedule a meeting here virtually:
