Paris-Dentons advised the French group Florimond Desprez on the creation of United Beet Seeds, a strategic joint venture with the Danish group DLF Seeds A/S. This major transaction marks a structuring step in the global sugar beet seed industry.
The partnership brings together two major players in the sector: Florimond Desprez, a family-owned group focused on research, development and production of seeds for sustainable agriculture, and DLF, a Danish cooperative present in 22 countries and a world leader in forage and grass seeds. Together, they aim to position United Beet Seeds as a leading global player in beet, forage and industrial chicory seeds, capitalizing on complementary expertise in research, production, processing and marketing.
The operation is based on the contribution by the two groups of all their activities and subsidiaries dedicated to this sector, consolidated within a common structure, with the ambition of offering innovative and sustainable genetic solutions to tomorrow's agro-environmental challenges.
