Oak Street Closure Extends Through Commercial Street Intersection Starting April 21

Beginning at 7 am on Monday, April 21, the Oak Street road closure from SW Washington to SW Commercial Street will be extended through the intersection of Commercial Street. The closure is necessary as part of the Depot Street Construction Project and is expected to last through mid-summer, weather permitting.

On-street parking along SW Commercial Street will still be maintained. Drivers should continue to utilize State Street to access on-street parking.

Parking in the lots behind the 800 block of SW Washington Street will still be maintained. Drivers will now need to utilize Persimmon Street for access to these lots.

Parking restrictions will remain in effect along Oak Street. Parking will still not be allowed on Oak Street during this time.

Drivers and pedestrians should be mindful of the closure. Caution should be exercised in the area while the work is being completed.
