On October 7, the Illinois Power Agency (IPA)'s Illinois Shines program released the latest installments in its series of Homeowner Handouts, part of a broader consumer protection initiative aimed at educating homeowners about going solar:
Selling Your Home That Has an Illinois Shines Solar Project details how to talk to your real estate team about marketing your solar project, how to transfer the solar project to the buyer, and what your Approved Vendor needs to know.
Buying a Home That Has an Illinois Shines Solar Project covers what questions you should ask about the solar project, how the project will be transferred to you, and how to keep the project in the Illinois Shines program.
