Unibank ranked first in the region in the 'Sustainability / ESG' category

Unibank took first place in the "Sustainability / ESG" category in the regional rating held as part of the SME Banking Council 2026 - Central Asia event.

According to the rating results, Unibank became the leader not only among banks representing Azerbaijan, but across the entire region, achieving the highest result in the "Sustainability" (Sustainability / ESG) direction. By scoring highly in this category, the bank surpassed banks from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

According to research by the international platform "SME Banking Club," banks were evaluated across several areas. In the Sustainability / ESG category, the assessment was based on banks' sustainability strategy, ESG approach, sustainable finance solutions, transparency, presentation, and expert evaluation.
