Two titles from FRT writers on the shortlist for Best theological book 2024

No less than two of the five books on the shortlist for 'best theological book of 2024' were written by people of the VU Faculty of Religion and Theology.

Pieter Dirk Dekker wrote 'De hemel te rijk' and Stefan Paas 'Vrede op aarde'. The winner will be announced during the Night of Theology on 14 November.

The fourteenth edition of the Night of Theology will take place in the Pieterskerk in Utrecht. This year's theme is 'Polarisation and connection'.

The main speaker of this edition is Rik Peels, professor at the Faculty of Religion and Theology and the Faculty of Humanities at VU University Amsterdam. As a philosopher of religion, Rik Peels conducts research into radicalisation and argues for more input from philosophy and theology.
