An official funeral processional in honor of North Carolina State Highway Patrol Master Trooper Steven J. Perry '18
Dear NCCU Community:
An official funeral processional in honor of North Carolina State Highway Patrol Master Trooper Steven J. Perry '18, who passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, following a car crash on the Durham Freeway, will pass through NCCU's campus today.
Between 3:20-3:30 p.m., members of the campus community should expect a large law enforcement presence and temporary road closures along the route, which includes westbound travel on Lawson St. and southbound travel on Fayetteville St.
