Commerce Committee Advances Eight Bipartisan Measures

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation advanced eight bipartisan measures, including the Satellite and Telecommunications Streamlining Act from Chairman Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) and Sen. Peter Welch (D-Vt.). The Committee also cleared promotions to senior leadership roles in the Coast Guard.

The following actions were taken during today's Executive Session

S. 3639, SAT Streamlining Act as amended by the Cruz-Cantwell substitute, as modified

S. 3700, FAA SMS Compliance Review Act of 2026 as amended by the Cantwell substitute, as modified
