Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month in the lobby of Fort Worth City Hall from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, just ahead of the evening City Council meeting.

Residents, businesses and community leaders are invited to celebrate the culture and contributions of Fort Worth's vibrant Hispanic and Latino communities during the event.

The celebration will bring together local Hispanic businesses, community organizations and Hispanic initiatives from across Fort Worth and create an opportunity for the community to connect, celebrate and learn more about the people and organizations making an impact in the city.

Guests can enjoy an afternoon filled with Hispanic culture and hospitality, including live mariachis, colorful folklorico dancers, cultural entertainment, botanitas and appetizers and much more.

The event will also spotlight Hispanic-owned businesses and local organizations and showcase initiatives supporting and strengthening Fort Worth's Hispanic community. The celebration reflects the diversity, entrepreneurship, traditions and community spirit that are an important part of Fort Worth's identity.

At 6 p.m., Fort Worth City Council will present a proclamation in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month in the Council Chamber.

Limited public parking is available in front of City Hall on Fort Worth Trail and behind City Hall off of Forest Park Boulevard. Additional free overflow parking is available at Panther Island Pavilion lot, 395 Purcey St.
