At the sitting held on 17 November 2025, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues interviewed the candidates for the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality.
The Committee members interviewed Milan Antonijevic, candidate of the ALEKSANDAR VUCIC - Serbia Must Not Stop Parliamentary Group, Milena Vasic, candidate of the Green-Left Front - Don't Let Belgrade D(r)оwn Parliamentary Group, and Milan Cukic, candidate of the PUPS - Solidarity and Justice Parliamentary Group.
At the same sitting, the Committee adopted the Proposal of the Decision on the Election of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, proposing Milan Antonijevic as the candidate for Commissioner, for a period of five years.
The Committee decided to forward the Decision Proposal to the National Assembly under urgent procedure, so that it could be considered at the Third Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2025, with the explanation that the conditions for the smooth operation of this body in its full composition should be secured as soon as possible.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Milica Nikolic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Slobodan Petrovic, Olja Petrovic, Snezana Jovanovic, Nikola Bokan, Vesna Nedovic, Risto Kostov, Ana Krstic, Milos Gnjidic, Jasmina Palurovic, Dijana Radovic, Dragan Nikolic and Sanja Jefic Brankovic.
