This is helping them to continue their work safely in universities, research centres, businesses, and public institutions across the EU and countries associated to Horizon Europe.
The selected organisation or consortium will open a call for proposals offering doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships displaced researchers from Ukraine
The call for researchers is expected to open in the first half of 2026. Interested applicants will be invited to prepare their applications together with recruiting organisations in the EU and Horizon Europe associated countries, including Ukraine.
Supported fellows are encouraged to maintain strong ties with their research and innovation communities in Ukraine. They will help strengthen cooperation and integration between Ukrainian and European scientific communities through placements, fieldwork, and joint projects. Should conditions allow, Ukrainian organisations will also be able to use the scheme to recruit researchers back in Ukraine.
A significant number of fellows under previous editions of the project chose to focus on issues supporting Ukraine's reconstruction.
