Hopeful Drive reopens to motorists May 18

Hopeful Drive, north of Blissful Circle, will reopen to motorists on Monday, May 18 following completion of a bridge replacement project as part of the Park Vista Drainage Improvements project.

The roadway will reopen to vehicle traffic; however, sidewalks on the new bridge will remain closed until bridge rail installation is completed later this year. Pedestrian access across the creek will continue via the temporary pedestrian bridge located east of the roadway.

Additional work in the area will continue over the coming months, including:

  • Installation of drainage drop structures near the cul-de-sacs at Date Street and Siferd Boulevard
  • Placement of erosion-control material in drainage channels to help stabilize soil and protect infrastructure from water and ice damage
  • Seeding and landscape restoration in completed work areas to reduce erosion and dust and stabilize slopes

All work is weather dependent and schedules may change.
