Chinese Ambassador to North Macedonia Jiang Xiaoyan Meets with Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski

On March 24, 2026, H.E. Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan met with North Macedonia's Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski.

Ambassador Jiang noted that 2026 marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Against this backdrop, the Chinese military will continue to pursue its centenary goals and advance the modernization of national defense and the armed forces with a focus on high quality. China is always open to international military cooperation, maintaining regular exchanges with European countries and EEAS, and engaging in security and defense policy dialogues to jointly tackle global challenges to safeguard regional and international peace and stability. She pointed out that China and North Macedonia share a tradition of friendly military exchanges. During the pandemic, the two sides supported each other and worked together to overcome difficulties. China stands ready to carry forward this friendship, deepen practical cooperation, and expand exchanges at various levels.

Minister Misajlovski commended China's development and  emphasized the importance of enhancing friendly relations with China on the basis of mutual respect and understanding.
