Alaska Air Cargo Carriers Unite for Western Alaska Disaster Relief

October 15, 2025

In response to the recent storms and flooding that have devastated communities along Alaska's western coast, local Alaska air cargo carriers have come together to provide critical transportation support for relief efforts.

Alaska Air Cargo, Everts Air Cargo, Grant Aviation, Lynden Air Cargo, Northern Air Cargo, and Ryan Air are collaborating to fly donated supplies between Anchorage and Bethel, where local relief organizations will coordinate and distribute the goods to affected residents.

How You Can Help

Community members who wish to contribute can drop off donated supplies at designated collection sites:

  • GCI retail stores in Anchorage (C Street, Dimond Center, East, Abbott), Wasilla, and Fairbanks through October 27th.
  • Alaska Federation of Natives convention at the Dena'ina Center, 2nd floor, in Anchorage on October 17th and 18th (please check ahead for specific donation hours)

Please ensure all donations are packed in boxes or totes so they can be easily stacked and shipped. To help streamline logistics, please do not bring donations directly to airline facilities or cargo terminals. All donations must be delivered to the approved collection sites listed above.

Requested supplies currently include:

  • New bedding
  • New clothing (Adult and Youth): hats, socks, gloves, underwear, snowpants, jackets
  • New baby/toddler items: onesies, socks, pants, baby bunting, winter wear, hats, gloves, swaddles, blankets, diaper rash cream
  • Baby formula - Similac Sensitive and Similac Advanced preferred
  • Diapers (newborn - 5T) and baby wipes
  • Phone chargers
  • Toilet paper
  • Bottled water
  • Personal toiletries for men and women
  • General medical supplies e.g. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, band-aids
  • Nonperishable food
  • Clorox wipes
  • Headlamps
  • Flat cardboard boxes
  • Packing totes
  • Packing tape/duct tape
  • Large garbage bags
  • Backpacks
  • Duffel bags

Please do not bring:

  • Used clothing or bedding
  • Hazardous materials such as propane tanks, butane canisters, hand sanitizers, cleaning chemicals, or lithium batteries

As relief needs may change, please check participating carriers' social media pages for the latest updates on requested supplies and drop-off details.

Together, we can help ensure essential supplies reach those who need them most across Western Alaska.
