Franklin University served as a sponsor of the Miracle League of Central Ohio's April 25 uniform pick-up event, reinforcing a shared commitment to expanding access, inclusion, and opportunity across the community.

The event ensures that athletes of all abilities are equipped and ready to participate in the upcoming season, creating a more inclusive experience for individuals and families throughout Central Ohio. In addition to sponsorship, Franklin University team members volunteered onsite to support event logistics and participant engagement.

"At the core of both of our missions is a commitment to expanding access to opportunity," said Dr. Sherry Mercurio, executive Director of Community Relations at Franklin University. "Whether through education or adaptive athletics, the goal is the same, creating pathways for individuals to participate, grow, and move forward."

The Miracle League of Central Ohio provides adaptive baseball programs that enable individuals with disabilities to fully participate in sports, building confidence, independence, and connection. This shared focus on access, whether to education, experiences, or opportunity, creates strong alignment between the two organizations.

"Access is more than availability, it's about removing barriers and creating real pathways forward," Mercurio added. "Sponsorships like this allow us to support that work in meaningful, visible ways."
