TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95/Rt 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces daytime lane closure on northbound I-95 for truck access (Mon. - ; Thu.). There will be a round-the-clock lane closure on northbound I-95 for maintenance of traffic review. There will also be daytime right lane closures at the intersection of Rt 896 and Welsh Tract Road for sidewalk and curb ramp work (Sun. - Thu.)


I-95 AND RAMP IMPACTS
· Monday, March 16th through Thursday, March 19th: Daytime Lane Closure, Northbound I-95, Rt 896 Interchange to the Welcome Center (9AM - ; 6PM)

· Wednesday, March 18th: Round-the-clock Single Lane Closure,Northbound I-95, Toll Plaza to the Rt 896 Interchange (5AM Wed, March 18th through 9AM Thu, March 19th)



Rt 896 IMPACTS
· Sunday, March 15th:Daytime Right Lane Closure, Northbound Rt 896, from I-95 to eastbound Welsh Tract Road (7AM - ; 10AM)

· Monday, March 16th through Thursday, March 19th: Daytime Right Lane Closures, Rt 896 and Welsh Tract Road Intersection (Southbound Rt 896 to Westbound Welsh Tract Road, Eastbound Welsh Tract Road to Southbound Rt 896, Westbound Welsh Tract Road to Northbound Rt 896 right turn lanes closed) (8:30AM - 5PM)

Monday, March 23rd and Tuesday, March 24th: Overnight Closures, Northbound Rt 896 from the Old Baltimore Pike to Welsh Tract Road and Northbound Rt 896 to I-95 Northbound Ramp. Detour will be posted.

Wednesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 26th: Overnight Lane Closures, Southbound Rt 896 between Welsh Tract Road and the Old Baltimore Pike
