The Brewers Association (BA) has announced the results of its 2026 Board of Directors election. Voting members reelected Fred Matt (Saranac Brewery/Matt Brewing Co., Utica, N.Y.) and elected Jacob Landry (Urban South Brewery, New Orleans, La.) in the packaging brewer class, and elected Lara Gray (Casual Animal Brewing Company, Kansas City, Mo.) in the brewpub and taproom brewer class. All three will serve three-year terms beginning in February 2027.
Voting ran from Sept. 21 through Oct. 21, 2026. Ballots were open to voting members of the BA, defined in the association's bylaws as small and independent brewers in good standing. Brewers in the packaging class voted to fill two seats on the board, and brewers in the brewpub and taproom class voted to fill one.
"Every candidate on this year's ballot gave their time to serve their fellow brewers, and I'm grateful to each of them for engaging in their association," said Bart Watson, president and CEO of the Brewers Association. "Our board represents our members and sets the direction for everything the BA does on behalf of small and independent brewers. I'm glad Fred will continue his work on the board, and I'm eager to welcome Lara and Jacob to the table."
