Meet Amelia Letson
Amelia Letson brings a powerful blend of policy expertise, advocacy experience, and deep commitment to reproductive freedom to her role as PRIMED Program Coordinator and Associate for the ASRM Center for Policy and Leadership (CPL).
CPL PRIMED, is a training program that equips reproductive-health professionals with the language, skills, and confidence to advocate for reproductive rights within America's political system.
Since joining the organization in September 2025, Amelia has led the PRIMED program and contributed essential policy research for the Center for Policy & Leadership.
Before ASRM, Amelia worked on Capitol Hill and with organizations including the Center for Reproductive Rights, Abortion Action Missouri, Advocates for Youth, and Planned Parenthood. That breadth of experience fuels her passion for advancing comprehensive reproductive health care and strengthening the pipeline of professionals working to safeguard patient access.
Amelia is a magna cum laude graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, with degrees in Political Science and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her writing has appeared in Teen Vogue, Ms. Magazine, the Washington Post, and the New York Times.
One of the things Amelia appreciates most about ASRM is its remarkably diverse membership-not just physicians, but lawyers and embryologists to geneticists, nurses, and researchers. She loves seeing the ways these perspectives intersect to advance the field and wishes more people knew just how uniquely multidisciplinary ASRM truly is.
When it comes to inspiration, Amelia looks to the people around her and the mentors who have shaped her path. When asked about her best career advice, she says,
"Be outgoing and learn as much as you can from the people around you. You always have something new to learn, no matter where you are in life or your career."
Bright, thoughtful, and driven by purpose, Amelia brings heart and intellect to everything she does, strengthening ASRM and the CPL PRIMED program.
