Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua Visits the Public Service Media of the Maldives

On July 17, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives H.E. Mr. Kong Xianhua visited the Public Service Media (PSM) of the Maldives. He held discussions with PSM Chairperson, Aminath Namza, and Managing Director, Ibrahim Nasreen, to exchange views on strengthening China-Maldives media exchanges and cooperation.

The leaders of PSM introduced the development of the media and expressed gratitude for China's strong support in capacity building. They expressed hope to further deepen cooperation with China and wished for continued support in areas such as technical assistance, personnel training, and market expansion. 

Ambassador Kong stated that media serves as an important window for enhancing mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries and as a vital bridge for advancing China-Maldives relations. Strengthening media exchanges and cooperation is an essential part of implementing the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. He noted that China and the Maldives have close media cooperation, with great potential in areas such as tourism, education, and technological innovation. China is willing to continue supporting the development of Maldivian media.

Accompanied by the PSM team, Ambassador Kong toured the TV studio and other facilities, and had friendly interactions with staff members.
