Entergy launches upgrades to storm outage map

Entergy has launched an enhanced outage map designed to provide customers with a more intuitive, informative, and user-friendly experience. Available now on Entergy.com, myEntergy, the upgraded tool helps customers stay informed and connected before, during and after outage events.

"Our customers depend on accurate, easy-to-access information, especially during severe weather events," said Kea Sherman, vice president of customer service and economic development at Entergy New Orleans. "The enhanced outage map provides greater visibility into restoration efforts and delivers a more seamless experience across desktop and mobile devices."

While the overall design will look familiar, the updated map includes improved accessibility features, enhanced search capabilities and a streamlined interface making it easier to stay informed during storm events.

What's staying the same:

  • Red and green lines will continue to show whether main power lines in an area are energized. These colors indicate the general status of an area, not individual homes.
  • Customers can still view outage details, including estimated restoration times and outage causes, through color-coded icons.
  • Location search remains available for quick access to specific addresses.
  • English and Spanish language options continue to be supported.
  • Storm-specific modes - including pre-storm and damage-assessment views -remain part of the experience.

What's new:

  • A redesigned navigation column featuring four simple tabs: Legend, Layers, Summary and Change Territory.
  • A new Layers tab that allows users to toggle planned outages, weather overlays and various map views.
  • A Summary tab offering a quick snapshot of total outages by parish or ZIP code.
  • Updated color-coded icons for planned outages: red for "in progress" and orange for "upcoming."
  • Streamlined multi-state navigation that displays one state at a time, with quick switching through the Change Territory feature.
  • New quick-action buttons that make it easier to sign up for outage alerts, report or check outages and report streetlight issues.

Customers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the improved outage map and other preparedness resources available through Entergy's digital platforms.
