BNI and Indomaret Strengthen Franchise Ecosystem, Boosting Access to Financing for Business Partners

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) is strengthening its synergy with PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement regarding the provision, utilization, and marketing of banking products and services.

Through this partnership, BNI offers financing solutions to prospective and existing Indomaret franchisees-specifically via the BNI Wirausaha and Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) programs-which can be utilized for investment needs, opening new outlets, or business expansion.

The signing of the cooperation agreement took place at Grha BNI, Jakarta, on Wednesday (09/30/2026), and was witnessed by the management teams of both companies, including Indomaret Coordinator Director Haliman Kustedjo, Indomaret Procurement & Business Development Director Handoko, BNI Director of Network & Retail Funding Rian Eriana Kaslan, and BNI Wealth Management SEVP Steven Suryana.

Bastari Akmal, Executive Director of Marketing Communications at PT Indomarco Prismatama, stated that the partnership with BNI is part of an effort to strengthen support for franchise partners-including both prospective franchisees and those already operating a business.

"This partnership marks an initial step toward strengthening synergy between Indomaret and BNI, particularly in providing financing access for franchisees. We hope this collaboration will not only support the opening of new stores but also help franchisees grow their businesses sustainably," said Bastari.

This financing requirement aligns with the expansion of the Indomaret franchise network. By 2026, the target is to open approximately 500 new franchise stores, while 1,088 stores will enter the partnership renewal period.

This situation creates a need for financing that relates not only to the opening of new outlets but also to the sustainability and development of partners' businesses.

BNI Director of Network & Retail Funding Rian Eriana Kaslan stated that the collaboration strengthens the existing relationship between BNI and Indomaret while simultaneously opening up broader opportunities for business development.

"Through this partnership, one of BNI's initial areas of focus is providing financing solutions for Indomaret franchise partners via BNI Wirausaha and Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR). We view franchise development as playing a vital role in creating opportunities for the public to become business owners," said Rian.

Going forward, the synergy between BNI and Indomaret will also encompass supplier financing for suppliers of Indomarco Prismatama's private-label products and Indogrosir's fresh produce suppliers.

In turn, BNI is also expanding access to banking solutions for Indomaret Group employees through a range of consumer banking products, in accordance with their needs and applicable regulations.

This partnership complements existing collaborations, including those involving corporate credit facilities, cash management, ATMs and CRM, as well as EDC and QRIS.

BNI will also support financial planning activities and set up an information booth to introduce various banking services to Indomaret Group employees.

As a state-owned enterprise within Indonesia's Danantara ecosystem, BNI continues to strengthen collaboration with business players to expand access to financing, enhance business chain connectivity, and support growth in the real sector.

Entering eight decades of journey, BNI will continue to open up space for synergy with various strategic partners to support business development, expand access to financial services, and encourage national economic activity.
