The University of Toledo College of Law will host the next installment of its celebrated Toledo Way Series on Monday, March 16, at noon in the Law Center's McQuade Law Auditorium, 1825 West Rocket Drive.

The event, titled "A Look Back at 40 Years of Practice," will feature William G. Chris, managing partner of Roderick Linton Belfance, LLP, and current President of the Ohio State Bar Association. Attendance is free and a complimentary pizza lunch will be provided.

Drawing on four decades of legal experience, Chris will offer candid reflections on his career journey, practical tips for effective law practice, and a compelling case for why active involvement in bar associations matters for individual lawyers and the profession as a whole. The program promises to be informative and insightful for law students, recent graduates and seasoned practitioners alike.

About William G. Chris

After graduating from UToledo Law in 1985, Chris built an impressive legal career spanning insurance defense and coverage, fraud investigation, collections and business litigation. He joined Roderick Linton Belfance, LLP in 2001 and now serves as its managing partner. Chris has argued before the Ohio Supreme Court and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell - the highest mark for legal ability and ethical standards.

He currently serves as president of the Ohio State Bar Association and has been recognized repeatedly as an Ohio Super Lawyer. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, Florida and in federal courts.

About the Toledo Way Series

The Toledo Way sums up the culture of the Toledo legal community. It stands for the proposition that attorneys are collegial and cordial to each other. We stand by our word, and we treat even opposing counsel with respect and integrity. In addition, the Toledo Way means that we nurture and instruct our new lawyers so that they will become competent attorneys in their own right.

The UToledo Law Center is located immediately inside the UToledo West Entrance off Secor Road, south of Bancroft Street. Guest permits are available at parkutoledo.com/visitor-parking/ or via the ParkMobile app.
