Summer Internship Program 2025

The City of Palatka is seeking High School/College students for our Summer Internship Program who are interested in learning aspects of public relations and local government. The interns who are selected for these positions should expect to learn key points of the field and gain work-life experience to prepare them for the future. It is essential that the applicant has excellent communication skills, demonstrates creativity, and understands the importance of attending to even the smallest details.

This internship is only for students that reside in Putnam County.

Interns will assist in one of the following departments:

• City Clerk's Office
• Planning and Zoning
• Community Affairs (Parks & Recreation)
• Palatka Municipal Airport
• Police Department
• Human Resources
• Public Works
• Fire Department
• Projects/Grants

The internship program starts June 9, 2025, through July 25, 2025
