Vice-Minister Valys met with Lucie Stepanyan, the French Ambassador to Lithuania

On 2 April, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Taurimas Valys met with Lucie Stepanyan, the Ambassador of France to Lithuania. The meeting focused on opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and France in the areas of economic diplomacy, defense, and security.

The conversation also covered future directions for Lithuanian-French cooperation and the defense and security business forum, which was attended by representatives of businesses and associations from both countries. Particular attention was paid to France's Presidency of the G7 and Lithuania's preparations to hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2027.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong strategic partnership between Lithuania and France and their shared goal of further reinforcing bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
