TPA’s 5K on the Runway registration opens tonight at midnight
Get ready to lace up your running shoes for takeoff! Registration for Tampa International Airport's popular 5K on the Runway opens at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026. With only 2,000 spots available, this unique race is expected to sell out quickly.
Returning for its 12th year on Saturday, April 11, 2026, the annual event invites participants to run alongside active aircraft taking off and landing for a truly unforgettable experience.
Last year's race sold out in right around 13 hours, so anyone hoping to join should sign up early Thursday morning after registration opens. The entry fee is $60.
