Supporting the American Dream of Owning a Home, One Nail at a Time

Equifax is committed to its Purpose of helping people live their financial best. Putting that commitment into hands-on action, employees recently volunteered to build new homes for Habitat for Humanity in southwest Atlanta. The project was part of the annual Carter Work Project, named after President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter, longtime advocates of Habitat for Humanity.

From Facilitating Mortgages to Framing Memories

For volunteers from the Equifax U.S. Mortgage & Housing team, who empower mortgage lenders to identify risk and opportunity in their portfolios, build better borrower relationships, and aim to execute with greater speed and precision, the build felt deeply personal.

"Being a part of this project is another way that we support our Purpose of helping people live their financial best," said Joel Rickman, General Manager and Senior Vice President of U.S. Mortgage & Verification Services at Equifax, who volunteered with teammates at the event. "Not only do we strive to positively impact communities in which we live and work through employee volunteerism, education, and philanthropy but we also want to make the path to homeownership more affordable for everyone in an effort to build a more-inclusive financial ecosystem."
