Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 4, 26 & 49

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-26 and SR-49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows:

State Route 4

• One-way traffic control at Vallecito Bypass Road for utility work beginning Monday, October 14, 2024, through Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

State Route 26

• One-way traffic control from Jenny Lind Road to Silver Rapids Road for drainage work beginning Monday, October 14, 2024, through Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Ealey Road to Mokelumne River for drainage work beginning Monday, October 14, 2024, through Friday, October 18, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 49

• One-way traffic control from Martina Street to SR-4 for utility work on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from George Reed Company to Calaveras/Amador County Line for tree work beginning Monday, October 14, 2024, through Friday, October 18, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
