On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Fort Worth City Council will conduct their regularly scheduled Council meeting at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 100 Fort Worth Trail.

Agenda items of note

  • Memorial marker to honor fallen Fort Worth Police Officer Henry "Hank" Nava Jr. along Loop 820.
  • $100,000 contribution to improve Joan Kline Park with new features and upgrades.
  • Donation from a local mountain biking group to enhance trails and amenities at North Z. Boaz Park.
  • Fourteen new bronze plaques at Will Rogers Memorial Center to celebrate Fort Worth's history and culture.
  • Creation of a special development zone in Walsh Ranch to spur growth and investments in the area.
  • A plan to invest in the Near West Side to improve neighborhoods and support new development.
  • Federal grant to fund improvements to hangar access roads at Spinks Airport.
  • Contract for citywide storm drain improvements to upgrade drainage infrastructure across Fort Worth.
  • A new automated system to make it easier for people to borrow books and materials from the Fort Worth Public Library.
  • Funding for the Victim Assistance Initiative to help local programs that support victims of crime in Fort Worth.
  • Temporary closures of sections of the East Loop 820 service road northbound for construction activities.
  • Temporary closure of a section of Tension Drive for safety improvements.
  • Extended temporary closure of a section of Grand Avenue for ongoing construction work.
  • There are 10 zoning cases on the agenda.
