Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities Takes Possession of Tioga-Franklin Savings Bank | Department of Banking and Securities | Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Harrisburg, PA - Today, the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities (DoBS) took possession of Tioga-Franklin Savings Bank, headquartered in Philadelphia, pursuant to the Department of Banking and Securities Code citing unsafe and unsound condition, in order to protect depositors. DoBS appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as receiver of the bank.

The FDIC entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Second Federal Savings & Loan Association of Philadelphia to acquire deposits and substantially all of the assets of Tioga-Franklin Savings Bank.
