Classes Canceled January 26, 2026

Due to inclement weather, all in-person classes and events at all IUP campuses and sites are canceled for Monday, January 26.

Class cancellation does not imply that there is no class assignment for that day. Students are instructed to check D2L and their university email for readings or assignments that can be completed through electronic means. Teaching faculty members will be expected to make up time for canceled classes. While faculty may make up lost class time as they choose, they are encouraged to provide alternate online assignments. Such assignments should be posted by 10:00 a.m. on days when classes are canceled due to severe weather conditions.

Supervisors have the authority to approve remote work for their employees, as long as the employee is able to complete their job functions remotely. If an employee cannot work remotely and for personal safety reasons, chooses not to report to campus, they should use available leave and follow departmental practices for reporting.

Buildings will be open as scheduled, including the IUP Libraries, North Dining and Folger Late Night; Crimson Café and Crimson Perk will be closed.

Please continue to follow winter weather safety recommendations. Additional updates will be shared through the university's Everbridge messaging system and posted on the IUP website.

Please look for additional messages as additional details are determined.
