Meetings with newly appointed first Ambassadors of Nicaragua and Uganda to Uzbekistan

On October 16, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the newly appointed and first Ambassadors of Nicaragua - Tatiana Daniela García Silva and Uganda - Moses Kawaaluuko Kizige to Uzbekistan.

With the Ambassador of Nicaragua, mechanisms were discussed to explore huge untapped opportunities in bilateral relations, especially in the economic dimension, as well as the role of Foreign Ministries in bringing tangible outcomes to our ties.

At the meeting with the Ambassador of Uganda applauded the successful Uganda's Chairmanship at the Non-Aligned Movement and appreciated its support of the upcoming Uzbekistan's Chairmanship at the NAM during 2027-2029. The parties noted that establishing political consultations between Foreign Ministries will lay the solid ground for promising cooperation benefiting all the people in our countries. Connecting business communities, collaboration within international organizations, untapped potential and more were on the agenda.
