Four deals for Dentons clients awarded at the GBM CEE Central Asia and Türkiye 2025 Awards

Four deals on which Dentons advised were awarded at the GBM CEE Central Asia and Türkiye 2025 Awards. The awards - "Financial Institutions Syndicated Loan of the Year", "Debut Corporate Bond of the Year", "Debut Financial Institutions Bond of the Year" and "Deal of the Year - Azerbaijan" recognize not only the pioneering spirit of our valued clients, but also the competency of Dentons' Banking and Finance and Capital Markets lawyers in advising on the most important deals in the Central Asian region.

NavoiyUran's debut bond issuance won "Debut Corporate Bond of the Year". The offering consisted of US$300 million 6.7% notes due 2030, issued on a Rule 144A/Regulation S basis, and are traded on the International Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange. Partners Tamer Amara (Milan), Cameron Half (London) and Bobur Shamsiev (Tashkent) led the Dentons team that advised Navoiyuran as to English, US securities, and Uzbekistan law. The team also included senior associate Ali Imanalin in Amsterdam, associate Pichrotanak Bunthan and trainee Maria Polycarpou in London, managing partner Eldor Mannopov, senior associate Sanjar Narzullaev, and associates Salohiddin Parmonov and Fakhrullo Kimsanov in Tashkent. San Francisco-based partner Linda Pfatteicher provided US tax advice.

ForteBank's debut international bond issuance won "Debut Financial Institutions Bond of the Year". The offering consisted of US$400 million 7.75% senior unsecured notes due 2030 issued on a Rule 144A/Regulation S basis, and traded on the Vienna MTF of the Vienna Stock Exchange. This was the first Eurobond issuance by a private Kazakh bank in over 12 years. Partners Vassiliy Zenov (Almaty), Tamer Amara (Milan) and Cameron Half (London) led the Dentons team that advised ForteBank as to Kazakhstan, English, and US securities law. The team also included senior consultant Alexandra Fasakhova, associates Dameli Karakulova and Ivan Ivanov, and paralegal Arina Akhat in Almaty; senior associate Ali Imanalin in Amsterdam; and associate Pichrotanak Bunthan in London. The US$200 million financing for the International Bank of Azerbaijan by 12 syndicated lenders led by Mashreq Bank won "Deal of the Year - Azerbaijan". A Dentons team led by Dubai Office Partner Qasim Aslam and Baku Office Partner Ulvia Zeynalova-Bockin advised the lenders with support from associates Arif Doha and Tofiga Jamalzade.
