On March 5, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic
of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the exchange, the Azerbaijani colleague informed about the recent incident involving a drone attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, which resulted in injuries among civilians and damage to infrastructure.
In turn, the Uzbek side expressed serious concern over the drone attacks, emphasizing the unacceptability of actions that run counter to the principles of international law and violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another state.
